Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, she enrolled in the Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she made the decision to become an actress. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she studied acting and singing. As early as age ten she was involved and performed the main role in numerous Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version from J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Agents for casting found Emma through her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were cast as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. The film is 2001's top earning film, smashing records on opening day and first weekend. The critics were impressed by the performance of the film as well as its story. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance.
