Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in film and TV is well known for movies like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading role in several television dramas. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. This film won an Oscar and won critical and commercial success. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's work has led her to be involved in a variety of significant national and international productions. This includes the British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Other roles she has held include being juror at each of the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
