Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Growing up, she listened to a lot of classical music and older boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing at an early age together with her mom. She received more formal vocal training at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choruses. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of projects. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to sing the same.
